It was a long wait time but good experience. There are many visa offices. Reach before time and they will allow 15 minutes before of appointment time. Fir UK visa it took around 1 hour 15 min. Carry all the documents.

I had been here for the Japan Visa. My slot was for 9:45 am and we need to go to the 1st floor of the VFS Global office for Japan Visa. Please make sure not to carry any laptop or extra luggage else you will have to keep it in the locker room which is chargeable. It took me approx 1hr to complete the whole process and the speed of the staff is really appreciable. Make sure to keep all the documents ready so that there is no delay or redoing of any documents. This leads to delay for your own process. I am told that it will take 7 working days for a Japan Visa. I will update it later based on my overall experience and receiving my passport via courier.

Excellent experience. Almost zero waiting time for the UK Visa. Very prompt and attentive staff. Was done with documents verification, scanning and biometrics within an hour! Perhaps also a function of the very few applicants. However, very well organized and unlike a lot of other reviews which downplay VFS services.

While the overall service is good, there are serious issues in the way they charge their services and outright manipulate the customer into buying services which are not needed. Also prices being charged to customers are different. Being a monopoly in a business where the customer is usually ill-informed VFS is clearly abusing their hegemony.

There are lot of negative reviews on this page, but they are not that true, each person inside VFS is working hard(especially to Germany, France, Netherlands). Yes they ask for lounge service at the entry. I personally went through what each applicant does, and why it takes that much time for each. It's Laborious process, each person will take sometime to furnish docs, sign them, provide if any missing docs are there, and then they fill into the system, and then your biometrics which takes more time. On an average it takes minimum 3-4 hours per person till all the formalities are done. Remember to come 30 mins early to your slot, especially in the morning hours, after 10-11 am things will slow down. Inside office they don't have restroom. So each time you have to exit, and again security check will happen and you come inside.
