I have loved my journey in music so far at Sangeet Sadhana. It has been around 7 months since I joined Sangeet Sadhana and started learning Hindustani classical vocals. Singing has been a hobby to me, and I had a strong desire to learn classical music. Being an adult, I was quite sceptical if there is a place where they would encourage adults to learn music. I kept holding myself back for long time thinking there is none. Thank God!! I simply googled one day, and I found this amazing place “Sangeet Sadhana”. After reading the reviews, I quickly called them and enrolled myself as a student. The first three weeks was part of orientation where Swathi Ma’am gave an overview of the basics. I still remember being super conscious for my first class. Swathi Ma’am was very sweet and taught us like kids in the school. This is the interest and passion they have in imparting music knowledge to everyone 😊 Then I got assigned to Debojyoti Sir’s class. Sir is fabulous in teaching, he is so patient and clears all the doubts (even if it is very basic) with a smile 😊 Sir ensures all of us understand and when it is required he does break things down to make it easy for us. I have been learning Alankar's, Ragas, Bandish, Bhajan, Taan in the classes. I really enjoy and look forward to attending the classes. There is something about this place. I feel a sense of belonging and there is always a positive energy that I take back after the class 😊 I have seen kids, adults, older adults (people above 60) attend classes here. It is beautiful to see students of varied age group here😊 So whether you are young or old, know to sing or do not know to sing all these do not matter. If you are looking for a place to learn music, then this is the place. You just need to have the passion and interest to learn. Sangeet Sadhana will support you in this learning journey.
