The house is being restored. However, it is neat to see the outside of the home. The whole auburn avenue area has very distinctive architecture. The Queen Anne Style home has fish scale shingles right below the eaves. The gift store next door and visitor center of National Park Service is open next door.

Knowing history is essential to understanding the present. I took my daughter on vacation to Atlanta and there was lots of fun but also learning. among them the picturesque historic house where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was born. This venerable defender of today's civil rights. Actually is close for renovation until November 2025 but next to it have another house full of history and is free.

It is such an amazing family friendly activity. You also get the opportunity to learn more about an individual who helped shaped American history. Once your their your going to feel a sense of peace.

Great experience but we could not go in as someone recently try to vandalize it! I was transported back in time stepping into this neighborhood. They are now renovating it for the next 2 years! You can see it from out side but it’s fenced in

It was very cool to be able to see MLK's birth place and home. The house is being restored so we could not enter but only saw the outside. Next door there is a gift shop where you can purchase many different MLK inspired items.
